7 EFFECTIVE TIPS TO LOSE FAT IN YOUR FACE

Losing weight can be a challenge on its own, let alone from a specific area of your body.

Particularly, extra fat in the face is an incredibly frustrating problem to solve.

1. Do Facial Exercises

Anecdotal reports claim that adding facial exercises to your regular routine can also tone facial muscles, making your face appears slimmer.

Some of the most popular exercises involve puffing out your cheeks and pushing the air from side to side, puckering your lips on alternating sides and holding a smile while clenching your teeth for several seconds at a time.

Although evidence is limited, one review reported that facial exercises may build muscle tone in your face

Another study showed that performing facial muscle exercises twice a day for eight weeks increased muscle thickness and improved facial rejuvenation

Keep in mind that research is lacking on the effectiveness of facial exercises for fat loss specifically. More studies are needed to evaluate how these exercises may impact facial fat in humans.

2. Add Cardio to Your Routine

Oftentimes, extra fat in your face is the result of excess body fat.

Losing weight can increase fat loss and help slim down both your body and face.

Cardio, or aerobic exercise, is any type of physical activity that increases your heart rate. It’s widely considered one of the most effective methods for weight loss.

Multiple studies have found that cardio can help promote fat burning and increase fat loss

What’s more, a review of 16 studies showed that people experienced greater fat loss with increased cardio exercise

Try to get 150–300 minutes of moderate to vigorous exercise each week, which translates to approximately 20–40 minutes of cardio per day

Some common examples of cardio exercise include running, walking, biking and swimming.

3. Drink More Water

Drinking water is crucial for your overall health and can be especially important if you’re looking to lose facial fat.

Studies suggest that water can keep you feeling full and enhance weight loss.

In fact, one small study in older adults found that drinking water with breakfast decreased calorie intake by approximately 13%

Another study showed that drinking water temporarily increased metabolism by 24%. Increasing the number of calories you burn over the course of the day can help boost weight loss

What’s more, staying hydrated is thought to decrease fluid retention, which prevents bloating and puffiness in your face

4. Limit Alcohol Consumption

While enjoying the occasional glass of wine with dinner is fine, going overboard with your alcohol intake can be one of the biggest contributors to increased facial fat and bloating.

Alcohol is high in calories but low in nutrients and may be associated with an increased risk of weight gain

Keeping your alcohol consumption in check is the best way to control alcohol-induced bloating and weight gain.

According to US Dietary Guidelines, moderate drinking is defined as up to two drinks per day for men and up to one drink per day for women

5. Cut Back on Refined Carbs

Refined carbs like cookies, crackers and pasta are common culprits of weight gain and increased fat storage.

These carbs have been heavily processed, stripping them of their beneficial nutrients and fiber and leaving little behind besides sugar and calories.

Because they contain very little fiber, they are digested rapidly, leading to spikes and crashes in blood sugar levels and a higher risk of overeating

One large study looking at the diets of 42,696 adults over a five-year period showed that a higher intake of refined carbs was associated with a higher amount of belly fat

Although no studies have looked directly at refined carbs’ effects on facial fat, swapping them out for whole grains can help increase overall weight loss and may also aid facial fat loss.

6. Switch up Your Sleep Schedule

Catching up on sleep is an important general weight-loss strategy. It may also help you lose facial fat.

Sleep deprivation can cause an increase in levels of cortisol, a stress hormone that comes with a long list of potential side effects, including weight gain .

Studies have shown that high cortisol levels can increase appetite and alter metabolism, resulting in increased fat storage ().

Furthermore, squeezing in more sleep may help you shed extra pounds.

One study found that better sleep quality was associated with an increased likelihood of weight loss success.

Conversely, studies show that sleep deprivation can increase food intake, cause weight gain and lower metabolism.

Ideally, aim for at least eight hours of sleep per night to aid weight control and facial fat loss.

7. Watch Your Sodium Intake

One hallmark of excess sodium intake is bloating, and it may also contribute to facial puffiness and swelling.

This is because sodium causes your body to hold extra water, resulting in fluid retention.

Several studies have shown that a higher intake of sodium can increase fluid retention, especially in people who are more sensitive to the effects of salt.

Processed foods account for an estimated 77% of sodium intake in the average diet, so cutting out convenience foods, savory snacks and processed meats can be an easy and effective way to cut your sodium intake.

Remove Blackheads With One Simple And Effective Trick

We all want to have clear skin, but those little parasites called blackheads come between our wishes. Blackheads are very small pimples with no skin on them, and because of that when they become exposed to air and moisture they oxidize and turn into brown-black color particles that are called as blackheads.

I’m sure that you have heard about so many ways hot to remove blackheads. In some cases blackheads are soft enough so they can be eliminated by scrubbing. But, some blackheads can be so difficult to remove them. If you are prone to blackheads and looking for some solution that is quick and painless, then you are at the right place.

Here we are offering an effective DIY pack to get rid of blackheads.

You need:
  • Mint toothpaste
  • Salt
  • Spoon to mix
  • Small bowl
  • 2-3 ice cubes

Instructions:
  • We all want to have clear skin, but those little parasites called blackheads come between our wishes. Blackheads are very small pimples with no skin on them, and because of that when they become exposed to air and moisture they oxidize and turn into brown-black color particles that are called as blackheads.
  • Mix 1 tablespoon of salt with 2 tablespoons mint toothpaste in a bowl. Mix them well to get a nice paste. Apply the paste on your nose and leave it for about 5 minutes to dry. After 5 minutes, put some water on your nose and massage it gently in circular motion. When your nose is clean, rub an ice cube on your nose. This is good to close the pores. At the end dry your nose. That’s it, your nose will be clear.

Why this works:

Salt is a natural antibacterial agent and helps defoliate the skin. Salt can never dissolve in toothpaste and therefore, this is the best combination.

Mint in the toothpaste works in the way to open your pores and kill any bacteria. Toothpaste deep cleans the pores and plucks out the blackheads.

Notes:

Your nose might turn up red, but the redness will disappear after a short time.

Those who have dry skin should use a moisturizer after the treatment.

It is very important to do the massaging very gently.

You Need Only 2 Ingredients To Eliminate Sagging Facial Skin And Wrinkles

Every woman dreams of making her skin look youthful and radiant, but this is easier said than done. The constant exposure to chemicals and pollution from the air is significantly reducing the quality of our skin, and the unhealthy lifestyle we all lead is often the main reason for wrinkles, acne, blackheads and clogged pores which can make your face look unpleasant.

Usually, women resort to expensive treatments or store-bought products to resolve any of these skin problems. However, the problem with these products is that they often contain a variety of chemicals which can harm your skin and cause further problems. The facial skin is pretty delicate and should be treated with mild remedies which won’t alter its pH value or harm its quality. Luckily for you, we have a great natural remedy which can treat acne, blackheads, wrinkles and other skin problems effectively and without adverse side-effects.

We all know about the beauty benefits of coconut oil and baking soda. The remedy is based on these ingredients which will deep clean your face and prevent the occurrence of any kind of problem. The remedy has powerful anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties and should be used as your daily lotion. Let’s take a look at the benefits of both ingredients first.

Baking soda is a powdered crystalline compound that can fight acne and pimples and improve the quality of your skin. The compound is often used to whiten teeth and as a deodorant as well, but it is a powerful acne remedy as well. Baking soda can balance the pH value of your skin thanks to its amphoteric properties.

On the other hand, coconut oil is one of the best remedies for your skin. This nutritionally rich oil will hydrate the face on your skin, clean your pores and regulate the amount of oil your skin produces.

Here’s how to prepare the remedy:

Ingredients
  • 1 tablespoon baking soda
  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil

Preparation

Mix the ingredients in a small bowl, then apply the paste on your skin and massage gently with your fingertips. Leave the mixture to work for 5-10 minutes, then rinse with plenty of lukewarm water. The coconut oil will deeply hydrate your skin, so there’s no need for applying a moisturizing cream afterward.

Both ingredients are pretty affordable and most importantly natural, which means they won’t damage your skin. Just try the remedy yourself and you will be amazed by the results!

Here’s What Your Fingernails Say About Your Health

You may be obsessed with nail art or manicures but that’s not where you should focus your energy. Do you know that every year Americans spend more than $700 million on nail polish alone? But what if we tell you nails can help you understand your health and even get ahead in your health check-ups.

According to the American Academy of Dermatology, the shape, texture and colour of your fingernails can reveal a lot about your health problems. In fact the change in your nails can also predict any medical issue you might be going through. So how can nails help you keep your health in check?

1. Stay away from yellow

Yellow nails are never a good sign. Yes your nails can acquire a yellow-ish hue owing to your age or because of an old nail paint, but in most cases, yellow nails are a sign of fungal infection. Some medical studies have connected yellow nails to thyroids and diabetes. If you find your nails yellowing gradually, seek doctor’s help.

2. Are your nails too dry?

Extremely dry and brittle nails are also connected to some unfortunate diseases. If your nails break off easily or are never in shape, or if they are too dry and flaky, chances are you have tendencies of thyroid disease. Cracked nails or split nails can happen due to a specific condition called hypothyroidism, which is a disease and should be identified swiftly.

3. What is clubbing?

You probably have clubbed nails but you don’t even realize it. Clubbing is when your nails are overgrown and the tips start curving downwards. You probably see it and think it’s natural but clubbed nails are related to heart disorders, lung diseases and irritable bowel syndrome.

4. Notice those white spots?

Probably the only nail condition which is not very telling. You probably have multiple white spots on your nails but they should not alarm you. White spots often appear on fingernails after some sort of nail trauma, and are not to be taken too seriously.

5. Horizontal ridges

Have you ever noticed horizontal ridges on your nails? They may be totally normal but should not be totally avoided. The ridges or unevenness are sometimes caused by nail trauma but can be associated with a high fever or a prolonged illness. Doctors explain that these ridges occur as the body works harder to fight the bacteria and germs.

6. Discoloured lines are never good

Have you ever noticed strange faded lines on your nails, which sometimes turn into dents? Doctors believe that discoloration is a sign of melanoma, which is a type of skin cancer. Which is why you should always consult a doctor if you experience it.

7. Do you bite your nails?

You might be a nail-biter, as are millions of people around the world. But do you know what it suggests? Nail biting is a sign of obsessive-compulsive disorder or OCD. People often bite their nails under stress or if they’re suffering from OCD. Interestingly, if OCD takes over your life and messes with your daily routine, it is essential to talk to a doctor.

8. Beware of infection

Do you know biting your nails can cause infection and sometimes it can lead to something serious? As you bite your nails, yeast or bacteria or other germs which are often found in our saliva or skin can enter your nails and cause infection. Remember our skin and nails have different immunity guards. And deals with germs differently.

9. Should be careful with kids

Scientists have noticed that nail-biting is a habit which starts from a very young age, mostly teenage or adolescence. People rarely develop a habit of biting nails as an adult. Which is why parents need to be careful about letting their children develop this unseemly habit.

10. What causes bluish nails?

Have you ever seen your nails turn blue? If not, that’s a good sign. But you must note that if your fingernails turn bluish it is a sign of lack of oxygen in your system. This is obviously associated with a lung or a heart disorder.

11. What are spoon nails?

Ever had your nails curl upwards like a spoon? Spoon nails can be a serious sign of physical disorder and you must be careful. If you ever see your nails growing upwards like a spooning structure, you might have symptoms of iron-deficiency anemia or a heart disease.

12. How to get healthy nails?

It is important that you maintain a set of healthy nails. Remember that you use nails to eat and to wash and clean yourself and it is of utmost importance that they should be hygienic. Doctors recommend a healthy and balanced diet for getting healthy nails, preferably low on salt but high on minerals. Especially free-range eggs and meat that is grass-fed will lead to healthier nails, when consumed.

13. Moisturize

Most people do not hydrate their nails or moisturize them. This is a mistake, as nails, much like hair and skin need hydration to stay healthy. You must wash and moisturize your fingernails at least once a day.

14. The nail bed is important

If you suffer from excessive nail breakage, your nail might need more moisture than usual and your nail bed must be taken care of. You can use oil around the nail bed to keep it healthy.

15. Don’t try to mess with the cuticles

Don’t be brash or careless while cutting your nails as you might end up hurting or manipulating your cuticles. Always take at least 10 minutes to cut and shape your nails.

OLD GRANDMAS REMEDY Using This Grandmas Remedy Your Will Get Smooth Baby Skin On Your Feet No Dry Skin Or Cracks Anymore

Here is a basic homemade recipe for removing dead and dry skin from feet. This will peel off and remove the dried layer and make your skin baby soft and fair.

You will need:
  • 1 cup Epsom salts (optional)
  • 10-15 Aspirin tablets
  • 1 lemon

Add the cup of Epsom salts in 4 liters of hot water and Soak your feet in it. You should soak your feet for at least half an hour. Now take a small bowl and take aspirin tablets in it. Squeeze the juice from one lemon in it. Mix it until you get thick paste. When the mixture is ready cut 2 pieces of plastic wrap large enough to cover your foot.

You should stay with the paste from 4 to 6 hours (until you go to bed). Then remove the wraps and wash your feet with soap and water.

Apply a thick layer of moisturizer and put the socks back on. Leave it to work over the night, because the lemon juice can be very drying. You can pull the peeling skin off as long as it doesn’t hurt to do so, or you can use pumice stone regularly.

How to Get Rid of Under The Skin Pimples

A blind pimple is acne that has developed beneath the surface of the skin. Blind pimples are usually not noticeable from a distance, but a person can feel it by running a finger over the skin's surface.

Never squeeze a blind pimple

Blind pimples are usually not positioned near the skin's surface, which means that they cannot be "popped" like whiteheads.

Trying to pop a blind pimple can result in permanent scars, a more-noticeable pimple, the pimple becoming more painful, or an infection.

Squeezing the blind pimple also risks pushing the contents of the pimple a blend of oil, dead skin cells, and bacteria deeper into the skin. This can lead to increased inflammation.

Apply a warm compress

Applying a warm compress can help to treat a blind pimple. The heat can open up pores, which may draw the pimple closer to the skin's surface and create a head.

The formation of a head enables the sebum, cells, and bacteria to exit the skin.

The heat from the compress can also help to relieve pain.

To treat a blind pimple with a warm compress, a person should:
  • Create a warm compress. Soak a clean washcloth in water that is hot, but not too hot to touch.
  • Apply the warm compress. Hold the warm compress on the blind pimple for 10 to 15 minutes. Repeat the application three to four times a day until the blind pimple comes to a head and releases the pus.
  • Keep the affected area clean. Make sure the area around the pimple is kept clean, and avoid touching it. Avoid using makeup until the pimple heals.

Try a pimple sticker

A pimple sticker or an acne dot is a tiny sticker that can be placed over a blind pimple. The sticker usually contains an agent that treats acne, such as salicylic acid.

Pimple stickers are thought to work by drawing out sebum, absorbing excess oil, reducing inflammation, and significantly reducing the size of blemishes.

Pimple stickers are available from drugstores. They are discreet, barely noticeable, and can be worn overnight or throughout the day.

The length of time that a person should wear a pimple sticker varies, but they usually need to be changed at least once every 24 hours. Pimple stickers are available to purchase online.

Use topical acne treatments

Numerous topical treatments for acne are available in pharmacies, supermarkets, and online.

If a person does not see an improvement in their skin while using one product, it can be helpful to add another product to the treatment strategy. Try a product that tackles a different cause of acne.

For example, if a person is using a product that contains benzoyl peroxide, the second treatment should include another ingredient that fights acne.

There are a variety of ingredients for acne, which each target different causes of acne:
  • Benzoyl peroxide reduces P. acnes bacteria.
  • Salicylic acid unblocks pores by removing the layer of dead skin cells on the skin's surface. It can also relieve inflammation.
  • Sulfur suppresses P. acnes bacteria and unclogs pores.
  • Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHAs) work by exfoliating the skin.
  • Retinoids unblock pores and reduce oil.

These ingredients are present in many anti-acne washes, creams, gels, facial scrubs, lotions, and pre-moistened cloths.

A prescription is not needed for treatments that contain most of these ingredients, although many are available in prescription strength as well.
